Seakeeper Ride Launches 3D-Printed Pocket Fit Kits for Boats with Recessed Trim Tab Pockets
New solution simplifies aftermarket installations and reduces costs for a growing list of brands, including Cobia, Grady-White, and Sea Hunt
FORT MYERS, Fla. (June 23, 2025) – Seakeeper, Inc., the leader in marine motion control, announced the launch of a new solution to simplify Seakeeper Ride aftermarket installations: 3D-printed Pocket Fit Kits designed to fit recessed transom pockets found on many boats equipped with traditional trim tabs.
Currently, many of these recessed pockets require fiberglass modification to create a flat surface suitable for installing Seakeeper Ride controllers. The new Pocket Fit Kits remove that burden by offering a durable, plug-and-play solution—making installation easier, faster, and more cost-effective.
“Boats built today are increasingly designed to accommodate Seakeeper Ride by featuring a flat transom or recessed transom pockets designed specifically around our controllers,” said Andrew Semprevivo, President and CEO of Seakeeper. “The Pocket Fit Kits remove a key barrier to adoption for some aftermarket installations and enable all boaters to modernize existing vessels with complete underway stabilization.”
Because pocket dimensions vary not only by brand, but by model and even model year, Seakeeper Ride will maintain a digital library of designs generated by leveraging sophisticated scanning technology to produce accurate 3D models. The Pocket Fit Kits will be made-to-order for Seakeeper Ride dealers at a price of $1,000, with the initial offering available on select models from Cobia Boats, Grady-White Boats, and Sea Hunt Boats, with additional brands being added.
Designed to handle Seakeeper Ride’s performance loads, the Pocket Fit Kits are printed with a rib-and-shell structure using PETG, a durable material selected for its strength, fatigue resistance, and compatibility with approved two-part adhesives. Seakeeper Ride will work exclusively with approved vendors who meet strict quality and printing standards, with an average delivery time of one week or less.
This announcement also comes on the heels of Seakeeper Ride’s recent product expansion for boats ~43-55 feet, with the launch of five new systems on May 21. The addition of Pocket Fit Kits further supports Seakeeper Ride’s mission to bring stabilization to every boat, regardless of size or hull design. It also aligns with a period of rapid expansion for Seakeeper Ride’s aftermarket business, which has seen its run rate grow more than 4.5 times over the last nine months.
Seakeeper Ride offers systems for boats up to ~55 feet and is available for stepped or non-stepped, fiberglass or aluminum hulls equipped with a compatible MFD. Seakeeper Ride controllers mount to the boat’s transom below the waterline. Using proprietary inertial sensing hardware and software, the system takes 1,000 measurements per second to understand the boat’s behavior in all three axes. It then commands deployment of custom-designed rotary blades below the boat’s running surface, making 100 adjustments per second, to create lift that automatically manages the vessel’s motions.
